The Reverend Kevin James White is a prophetic preacher, passionate leader, and eloquent and relevant orator dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with over three decades in ministry. He has served the global Gospel community and is the Leading Pastor and Senior Servant of New Zion Baptist Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey. 

 

As the Senior Servant, Pastor White has applied his administrative and stewardship gifts to establish a strong infrastructure at New Zion Baptist Church. Pastor White oversees three additional churches, two in New Jersey, and one in New York City. His visionary leadership has propelled New Zion Baptist Church to greater spiritual, physical, and financial growth. A shepherd at heart, he is committed to evangelism and community outreach, founding impactful programs like Harvest for Christ, a Community Christmas Toy Giveaway, and an Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket distribution for seniors.
 
Pastor White’s dedication to education and youth development led to the creation of Zion Land Summer Camp and Zion Land Academy Child Care Center. Both operate under Zion Horizon Enterprises, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit he founded to foster spiritual and intellectual growth among children.
 
Pastor White is the First Vice President of the General Baptist Convention of New Jersey, Inc. He mentors preachers and trains leaders for transformational ministry. He has previously served as Financial Secretary of the General Baptist Convention, Inc., and 2nd Vice Moderator of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association.
 
Pastor White is dedicated to ministerial excellence. He holds a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership and Administration from New York Theological Seminary, where he also received an award for his academic and professional achievements. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Prophetic Urban Ministry.
 
Pastor White is a committed community activist, collaborating closely with local leaders to address the needs of the Elizabeth, New Jersey community. His expertise in church administration has helped several congregations establish constitutions, by-laws, and structural stability. 

Above all, Pastor White treasures his family. He is married to the former Dr. Charisse Ballard and is the proud father of three children—Ketra, David, and Deborah—and grandfather to his beloved grandson, Khalil.
